Cyberbullying has become a huge problem in today's society. Many adults and children are being cyberbullied each day. Cyberbullying is when someone chooses to use electronic technology to bully another person. Some examples of cyberbullying are: mean text messages or emails, rumors spread through social media sites, and embarrassing pictures,videos, websites, or fake profiles. Below are some websites that will tell you more about cyberbullying and what you can do to protect yourself, friends, or family from being cyberbullied.

Cyberbullying Research Center --website with great information and resources for teachers, parents, and students. Dr. Justin Patchin is one of the best at dealing with cyberbullying. He and a few of his colleagues have several great resources available for download about cyberbullying and what to do if your cyberbullied.
Kids Health --wonderful website which gives students and parents information on cyberbullying. Plug in your headphones or speakers and it will read the information to you, also available in Spanish. This website defines cyberbullying, tells the effects of cyberbullying, tells the signs of cyberbullying, and how parents can help. This is a great website with a lot of information about being safe while on the Internet and in your everyday life.
Common Sense Media --Great website which breaks down information for various age groups. This website has games and videos which relate to all ages of students about bullying and cyberbullying.
National Bullying Prevention Center --Great resource with tons of information. Has lots of videos, stories, and resources available. This website discusses bullying in general, however, there is information about cyberbullying.
Bullying Statistics --Great information and statistics about bullying and cyberbullying. This site has information on staistics of bullying, bullying facts, bullying help, and types of bullying.
Violence Prevention Works --This site identifies characteristics and forms of cyberbullying. Talks about the signs of cyberbullying and includes resources for students and parents to use.
NetzSmarts.org --Learn about lots of hot topics facing students, teachers, and parents when using electronic technology. NeztSmarts has plenty of videos, quizzes, and information when using elctronic devices.
Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center --Resources for students, teachers, and parents to use. This site has links to games, surveys, books, handouts, etc. which deal with aggression, bullying, cyber bullying, etc.
Nova Scotia Bullying Action Plan--Just like the United States, many countries are dealing with Bullying. This website has good information about what bullying and cyberbullying are, what to do, where to go for help, and how to protect yourself.
Medford Schools Bullying Information--This website is a great guide for parents. This website discusses bullying and using the Internet. It has great resources for parents, students, and schools.
