The Board of Education consists of seven members.  The Dodgeville School District is divided into three designated areas for purposes of representation: West of Hwy. 23, East of Hwy. 23, and City of Dodgeville.  Under a recently adopted re-apportionment phase-in schedule two board members will represent the City of Dodgeville, one member will represent West of Hwy. 23 and one member will represent East of Hwy. 23.  In addition, three members will be designated as At-Large representatives.

All terms on the Board of Education are three years, unless a member of the Board is completing the term of a Board Member who resigned.

All of the residents of the Dodgeville School District are encouraged to engage in the educational process.  All meetings are held in public, and an opportunity is granted to the public to speak on agenda topics.

MEETINGS
The Board of Education meets once a month, on the 2nd Monday of the month beginning at seven o'clock in the evening at the Dodgeville Middle School library located at 951 W. Chapel Street in Dodgeville.
